This is with gr8 interest and enthusiasm we are trying to reunite again after college days......... Since we are now leading our own different professional lives but its better to look back from where we have started all this. The days of Alpha-theeta-Beta-Gama,Velocity, acceleration, Khurmi, Circuit Theory, DBMS, Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Mechanics,Theories Of MAchine,dsp,anntena,radar,microelectronics,dsd,comm-1,comm2.........huh........Sounds exhausting na????But we have studied all.....isn' it???
Guys lets get together for a day forgetting all our professional meetings, method statements, procedures, quality assurance/control, bugs and etc etc........
Lets come together for a day forgetting the stress and tension. Lets look back from the desk of Managers to the desk of student life from where the GENESIS of professional phase of life started.....
Hoping for positive feedback from all and we will make this happen.......

Gents One of my concern is that at the end of the day we have to contribute something for charity work...so guys is it ok or needs some modification or some better ideas...please come up with good ideas in order to donate for some social cause.....Guys if im talkin too much then please correct me......

Which date is most suitable to all....some of the teammates were suggesting ( telephonically) for the dates in line with Diwali holidays of 2010......The reason behind this is that most of the guys/gals will go home during these holidays and most of our guys/gals are located in NCR....so this will be the best time to meet and organize this.Awaiting for more feedbacks in this regard.........
Also, please scrap ur phone numbers whoever is commenting on this blog in order to expedite this planning and better connectivity for future......

Akshay......i think when we r reuniting as a group then if we can donate a collection to ny needed personnel or an organisation meant for this....i think we will be delivering something according to our social responsibility.....its only my views...if everybody is agreeing to this then only it needs to be considered.....otherwise no problem yr.....

hey sorry for being out of touch for so long.. I have already put up the link with all college links i have... @stan: diwali is on 5th nov. I would go for diwali,... we need to plan it properly and as I had a discussion with akshay we shoudl ensure that everyone know each other upto certain extent.. otherwise Breaking the Ice would take its own share.. Having blog is fine but I think we need to come up with some out of box approach.. whatsay..
regarding location an open space would be better where chill of winter on rise is there.. I have some friends as lecturer in college.. I wil try to get in touch with them to collect passout batch email Id's.
stan one more idea.. why to restrict it to only alumni.. I think final year should also be involved so that if this goes fine we can look upto making it a tradition.. what say?

I think the idea proposed by Mr. Davinder is a good one. So its better if you guys can meet somewhere in faridabad and frame out some concrete action plan.Guys i want to be there during holi time but i am not sure of reaching there. But im available on phone all the time.
Davinder sir, i think a committee needs to be constituted and accordingly responsibilities needs to be handed over. Of course organizing first time this reunion is a difficult task since we have to reach out to our colleagues who are not in regular contact.For that initial team will have to work hard and we know that we can do it.Thats wat we all have proved in the past also.
So, keep the spirit up and i am also on this job to reach out to as many as our frens and batchmates.
So lets hope for the best and work hard as usual for make this reunion happen.
Dear Vaibhav and Akshay, guys can u please suggest good party lawns in NCR for organising this reunion??? I don't know too much of these kind of places in NCR, or for more ease, Vaibhav can explore the Delhi area and Akshay can suggest for Faridabad/Gurgoan area???
College is a good option to have such event speacially when its the 1st time, but in past when I have tried to contact college regarding it ..... always had a -ve reply :( .... college doesnot seems intersted in such events and now we even dont have Vinay sir to support us (I think he could have supported us).
Distance is another point to think about......
College doesnot has that much of an open space left to organise such event vr i think we can expect to atleast a minimum of 300 ppl......

We can says most of the BSAITM passouts around 70% or may b more than that r from Faridabad... so hve a few options in Faridabad.

hi all, I am in faridabad till 3rd feb. I hope I would be able to catch akshay and sit with himm for a while. I am also in favour of sitting for plan drafting on 28th feb. I hope I would beb there at that time as well as i have already done the bookings for that time.. Even i think we should ake plan layout and the approach college if we go that way.. only then we can expect something out of it.

U discuss this matter with sehgal for designating a proper venue for meeting during holi. I may not be there for this meeting but during the meeting we will have a telephonic discussion for the same. U r suggesting college for this meeting??If everybody is ready to reach there thn its fine. Also, regarding alumini fund, i don know whether our college will entertain us for this or not.We can approach college, there is no harm in that....As u indicated above that nothing is happening from college end, we have to do something....
I cannot come for this meeting as im out but i will try to prepare an agenda for the meeting. Prior to the meeting i will try to circulate among the concerned. if u think some more to be included in the meeting, u can include and discuss in the meeting. I think its high time now and we should meet at least once to plan this thing in a unidirectional way....
What I suggest is, take out the list of Alumns passed out in the year 2005 and 2006 from our college with their corresponding addresses, it will actually give us a rough idea about our missing colleagues...
Now, folks which are somehow not able to follow this link can be contacted via their corresponding addresses by sending them a formal invitation(in the later stage when the platform will be all set).
Going back to college is a very good idea, but the best is to arrange it in the resort or farm lawn..
Lets post the date of the event and finalize it by the end of this month... which will help us in joining hands and mobilize efforts for other relevant tasks as well...
Vaibhav, I agree 100% with u.So we have to get the adresses from college. For this, i think we have to involve the fourth year students. Do you know nybody active persons in college from fourth year. Otherwise i have to xplore my contacts. I ve one or two guys in second-third year. I can try thru them. Wat do u say?? or else we can call college and gather something. Kya kehta hai....By the way do our college have this kind of databank available???They have collected these details during our final year but lets see how much they can help in this manner.....

Ofcourse this is for batch 08 and 09 also. But the matter is to take the lead from each batch for contacting each other....... You are most welcome in this but as we were discussing above in some comments, for organising this we are exploring our contacts and influences. if you can help us in contacting your batchmates, then it will be very good for all of us in organising the same. As u said above that u have the contact details of ur batchmates, then contact them and tell them to join this blog and make this event happen. If you go thru the above comments u will come to know about the current status. As we r planning to meet during Holi festival holidays, u can also join in that for discussing this matter and preparing a way forward for this reunion.

Further to our e mail conversations for confirmation regarding the date of reunion, most of the people (confirmed as of now) doesn't have any problem to come on 20-Oct-10. So, we will fix the date of 20th October 2010 as our reunion date. This will in turn informed to college.
Now the second phase of the planning starts. As we are going back to college after having some experience in the professional life and which we should share (according to my opinion) with our juniors in college. In order to formalise this, we have to organise ourselves and present ourselves in a professional way.Keeping in view all this, our senior Mr. Davinder Singh (Batch 2005) has proposed for a preliminary meeting with the Alumni and asked to contact him. I believe that same is in progress which will be conducted soon.
In order to proceed further, we should have a written agenda which will be discussed on that day with management.
So, we can open our discussions here itself before being formalising and writing down which will be tabeled with management on that day.
Hence, it is requested to you all to provide your valuable inputs and points which needs to discussed (first here) and presented to management.

Wats the best time??Diwali or Holi time???
Mr. Abhay is suggesting for holi time.......
I have put my comment for diwali keeping the time for prepration for this......
If this needs to be organized during Holi time, then we have to expedite this process.
So gents wat should be the best optimum date??
If it needs to be organised during holi time then the guys who are located outside India needs advance information for organising the trip.........

I would go for diwali,...
we need to plan it properly and as I had a discussion with akshay we shoudl ensure that everyone know each other upto certain extent..
otherwise Breaking the Ice would take its own share..
Having blog is fine but I think we need to come up with some out of box approach.. whatsay..
regarding location an open space would be better where chill of winter on rise is there..
I have some friends as lecturer in college..

ReplyDeleteI think the idea proposed by Mr. Davinder is a good one. So its better if you guys can meet somewhere in faridabad and frame out some concrete action plan.Guys i want to be there during holi time but i am not sure of reaching there. But im available on phone all the time.
Davinder sir, i think a committee needs to be constituted and accordingly responsibilities needs to be handed over. Of course organizing first time this reunion is a difficult task since we have to reach out to our colleagues who are not in regular contact.For that initial team will have to work hard and we know that we can do it.Thats wat we all have proved in the past also.
So, keep the spirit up and i am also on this job to reach out to as many as our frens and batchmates.
So lets hope for the best and work hard as usual for make this reunion happen.

ReplyDeleteCollege is a good option to have such event speacially when its the 1st time, but in past when I have tried to contact college regarding it ..... always had a -ve reply :( .... college doesnot seems intersted in such events and now we even dont have Vinay sir to support us (I think he could have supported us).
Distance is another point to think about......
College doesnot has that much of an open space left to organise such event vr i think we can expect to atleast a minimum of 300 ppl......
So........ open lawn is what I support !!!!!!

What I suggest is, take out the list of Alumns passed out in the year 2005 and 2006 from our college with their corresponding addresses, it will actually give us a rough idea about our missing colleagues...
Now, folks which are somehow not able to follow this link can be contacted via their corresponding addresses by sending them a formal invitation(in the later stage when the platform will be all set).
Going back to college is a very good idea, but the best is to arrange it in the resort or farm lawn..
Lets post the date of the event and finalize it by the end of this month... which will help us in joining hands and mobilize efforts for other relevant tasks as well...

Further to our e mail conversations for confirmation regarding the date of reunion, most of the people (confirmed as of now) doesn't have any problem to come on 20-Oct-10. So, we will fix the date of 20th October 2010 as our reunion date. This will in turn informed to college.
Now the second phase of the planning starts. As we are going back to college after having some experience in the professional life and which we should share (according to my opinion) with our juniors in college. In order to formalise this, we have to organise ourselves and present ourselves in a professional way.Keeping in view all this, our senior Mr. Davinder Singh (Batch 2005) has proposed for a preliminary meeting with the Alumni and asked to contact him. I believe that same is in progress which will be conducted soon.
In order to proceed further, we should have a written agenda which will be discussed on that day with management.
So, we can open our discussions here itself before being formalising and writing down which will be tabeled with management on that day.
Hence, it is requested to you all to provide your valuable inputs and points which needs to discussed (first here) and presented to management.
First thing which I am starting up here is what should be the name of our Alumni Association?
Second to list down the objectives.
So call is yours and please give your ideas.
